What is Russell up too? Why the long cue?

Oh, his on his way to the West Coast National Park to try find the the wide variety of seasonal flowers that bloom from August - September.

If you are looking or a wonderfully picturesque outing in the next couple of weeks and you are situated in and around the Western Cape, why not head north 120km to the West Coast National Park. It only took us 55 minutes to reach the south gate. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the west and the R27 coastal road.

It runs from Yserfontein in the South up to Langebaan lagoon. We went in search of the wide variety of seasonal flowers that bloom from August - September, and we were not disappointed. We even spotted some local wildlife.

If you're on the West Coast road try make a stop here, its called R27 Roosterkoek. This quaint little spot sell delicious "roosterkoek" with a list of fillings to try. If you don't know, roosterkoek is the oldest from of bread in South Africa made over coals from an open fire. Why not add a traditional cup of "moerkoffie" a very strong cup of coffee to tantalize your taste buds.
